would Moore have been invited back for 3rd film if not contracted?

Does anyone think Moore wouldn't have been offered TSWLM had his contract been 2-films only.
Even though LALD was relatively successful, TMWGG wasn't really. TSWLM was a real hit for Moore and very good film. But if Moore's contract had been for 2 films, (not 3) did he do enough to earn a 3rd crack, would the producers have looked for another actor? what do people think.

So, in the case of a new James Bond actor, Cubby was wise to offer Moore (who was a well-known and highly respected actor already) a long-year contract.
So, your if- and when- is pointless (unless you intend to start another Moore-bashing or Dalton - appraisal) as EON offered longer contracts to all Connery successors - except Dalton
As the Moore Movies went right from the beginning, I doubt, that they would have been looking for a new actor after 2 movies if your drawn situation would be real.
My change a winning team?
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
( not as Good as Dalton Though, )
what??
What have I done wrong?
Sorry, but that ain't true
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
As disaster movies were very popular in the 70's ("The Towering Inferno, "Poseidon Adventure" etc.) there is but one man other than Moore that could have saved the franchise: Timothy Dalton, his acting a disaster.
Roger Moore 1927-2017
not sure, if that's really accurate. Can someone please confirm?
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Pah, maybe you re-watch that movie.
TSWLM set the mark for a new generation of Super-Movies (together with Star Wars). Must have had one of the largest budgets of that time, can't imagine anything else getting close to it.
The PTS, the Liparus set, the action scenes and the girls have been defining for the entire branch.
I have no idea, what is your beef with that movie.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Probably the main reason I call it overrated is just that I prefer both LALD and FYEO to it. I don't see it as the best Moore film that the masses seem to.
Yes...I can
Dalton was on the same contract as the others - bar Lazenby....the official line about him leaving the role was that too much time had elapsed since LTK....and there was mention that the contract was only binding for five years...officially Eon were happy to continue with Dalton, and there is no proof to prove otherwise...but changing the lead actor gave Eon a great excuse to get free publicity in their search for a new Bond...
here we go again...
Well...they wanted Dalton for OHMSS....
....but Brosnan did have a better profile in the US at the time they wanted him....
You can count Germany in as well.:D
We were drinking and dancing for 14 days after we heard, that the tranqilizer was not coming back!
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Maybe - but Germany doesn't count :v {:)
As always Markus we know your feeling for Dalton… but in essence Dalton him self said no to GE…. You could also be a smart as and say the LD was written to PB and that GE was written to Dalton the two best movies of TD and PB…
You could also say that TD was trying to do what DC is doing now – a more trough JB… but hey.
According to many documentaries TD was offered the role as 3 times /starting with OHMSS) before accepting…don’t think a lot of actors would do that
Anyway back to RM – RM is perfects for his years…
