TND Russian border, arms bazaar.........

Does anyone know or hazard a intelligent guess of where exactly the location of this place was on a map!

    Kyber Pass

As you can see, not quite at remote as the film location appears. The Lat/Lon is approx. 34° 7'20.80"N 71° 5'37.99"E. You can use this to locate it on Google Earth and take a look at the pictures associated with this location.

    Peyresourde Balestas Airport France (LFIP)

This is the filming location, again, not as remote as it is made to appear. Lat/Lon approx. 42°47'48.32"N 0°26'22.52"E.

I know what your saying but im going by the info said in the film ie 'on the russian border!' I wanted to get a cool satalite image of where it was fictionaly for the film i guess, not where it actually was shot which is prob quite boring.

This type of area fits the bill more specially with all the snow and mountainus terrain but not on the russian border but the northern edge of russia!

so you've been provided with both that filming location AND the given location from the novel

jesus man, what more do you want?

how about going and buying a 'fischer price my first map of russia' and throwing a dart at it?

i dunno where on the russia border its supposed to be, i doubt anyone did cos when you boil it down, who the hell cares? its on the russian border, somewhere cold and snowy, oh and theres a hill? does this help you out? should narrow it down a bit, i mean how many cold snowy hills are there on the russian border?

ffs, whats the next f@%$ing question, 'where was 009 when he caught up with reynard?', 'how thick was the carpet in M's bog?', or how about 'who was the 3rd son of the 2nd cousin, twice removed of the boatbuilder who put the final screw in the hinges on the shithouse door on board that gunboat in DR?'

christ sake, i wonder why i even bother wasting my time trying help people out sometimes....

    rant over.

Calm down. Didn't know fisher price did maps?
I care because i am trying to compile a mission folder for TND containing where bond has been, various documents etc. Reason i want it where we see it on film is cos i wanted to do a satalite view of the area then then using a computer put the 'arms bazaar' on the map so you see it like a cool birdseye view of the location. Like they do in some other films 'enemy of the state' for instance zooming in on the area where its happening...
Im trying to create a fictional place and plot like a real event, for us bond nuts thats what we want right?
As Dave the mantis once said "its about giving the sense of realism".
