Sad to see Sophie go, but there are still some good ones left.
Sophie was another let down by dreadful song choices. Everyone of her performances were dreary.
As for the Halloween themed show, what a load of rubbish! Where was 'The Monster Mash' ?? and I'd of thought Johnny would have been shoe in for 'the Time Warp' but no, Louis gave him a 'proper' song. 8-) If there was one night Johnny could have hammed it up, it was Saturday ...
Think they could do with shaking up their themes too. How about a 'Bond' night ( plenty to choose from ) or the contestants have to sing one of their mentors songs ....
How about Country night ?? That would sort them out. Janet singing 'Jolene', Micha B hammering 'Paper Roses' and Frankie covering ' Its 5 o'clock Somewhere ... ' It would be funny if nothing else )
'Strictly' beat XFactor in the rating for the first time in 4 years this weekend. Think I need to tell Simon I'm available ......

Yeah, you are right about Johnny. Now was the time to dress up and be odd. Sophie needed to show she could do more than her slow songs but they never picked anything like that. I hope she ends up with a career because I love her voice, but just needs some personality and variety.
Bond theme would be perfect.

Right with you there, Lady R....decent enough singer - probably one of the better ones this year....but just a lack of personality (combined with the aforementioned poor song choices) did for her....pickings are slim this year and so it was a bit of a shock to see Mischa B in the bottom two....then again - I do think the British public don't take this programme seriously anymore !

Or it's more like trial by the press.... Mischa B has had some grief recently... with her 'I'm going to win' attitude (or so we are led to believe) and I think she was put in the bottom 2 to make her realise she hasn't got this competition in the bag - although IMO she is in the top 3.

She is indeed one of the best, but with some attitude. Before those bully comments there were rumors that she was pretty short-tempered and condescending to her styling team and production.

Yep, and that is a very silly mistake to make - on her part. Perhaps this episode will make her not take her place for granted. Nothing like a quick shrift sweep to the bottom 2 to do that )

Not that sad to see Johnny go. I didn't ever think he would get a real career anyways. The Risk will likely get some deal outside the show since they were decent, though I feel bad for them with the whole lead singer issue. Overall it was not that memorable of a weekend for the show.
Frankie Coccozza, has to sing the Next Bond theme. ) ) )
Dont you mean 'talk' the theme tune with a bit of shouting ) )
Who is voting for him ???? Even he thinks he should have gone by now
As for Johnny I will be sad to see him go. He was one of the few charcters in an otherwise very dull bunch and even though he was never gonna make it as a singer/performer, I always enjoyed his wit ... Maybe as Gary suggested, he will end up opening a bad panto in Scarborough ....
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear .... What a dreadful show. Apart from Marcus they were ALL rubbish
As for the judges ... 'shut up' ...'no, you shut up' ... 'no, you shut up' .... ) )
Well I thought Marcus and Micha B were the best... Micha B for me was in a class of her own - but as for Frankie not being booted off first.... well, like you said, who the hell is voting for him... he's simply awful and I don't think he should have even got to the live shows
Poor Jonny.... oh well, I hope he gets some career from this.
As for Louis..... honestly - embarrassing

You can tell Frankie isn't much of a singer by how much of his accent is getting into his songs. The others seem to lose most of their accent because they are articulating in the song, but he still does these talking notes where it sounds more like strangled speaking. Definitely worst singer in the competition.

Well....I wouldn't use that as a barometer of how good a singer is...all of the Beatles had an accent whilst singing...and while Ringo may not be the best singer the world has produced...John, Paul and George weren't bad

I catch far less accent from them, but you are right that it is not necessarily the judge. But it is still common for the accent to fade in stronger vocals. Frankie sounds like some extra air pushing his normal speaking voice rather than consistently sounding like a singer. He is not good enough for the X Factor in terms of vocals. I really don't know why Gary brought him through.
Well, we can stop dissing Frankie 'Coke'ozza now he's been booted off X Factor .... Silly boy 8-)
On the plus side, he'll now be available to sing the Bond theme ...... ) ) )
Really???? Was too busy at work today to check out my usual Mailonline fix.... oh dear - what an idiot. Glad he's got booted off if he was being a pratt.... or whatever - otherwise it just sends out the wrong message!
What a waste of an opportunity.
You know, youth is really wasted on the young (if they aren't actually wasted... ) )

Yep.He's been busy boasting about his cocaine use apparently. There was also the constant partying and then swearing on live tv before the watershed and getting X Factor in trouble with OFCOM didn't help his cause.
The guy was such a tool it's untrue. Couldn't sing, butchered every performance & believed his own pathetic 'bad boy rockstar' hype. I'm not a fan of listening to the judges' comments (as they're only interested in themselves), but Louis Walsh well & truly hit the nail on the head about him last Saturday.
I'm still wondering how the Irish girl stayed in after forgetting the words, whilst successfully demonstrating that she's unable to sing anything remotely different or out of her comfort zone ....
Genuinely surprised the boy band got voted out, as they actually managed to sound ok. The guy who sang the Jackie Wilson tune was certainly the best on the night for me.

You know I really wish there was a 'like' type button on AJB.... as this would have got one!
Although.... I do like Janet Devlin (the Irish girl) - no excuses for forgetting her words though, not at this stage - BUT I do love her voice... even if she isn't able to re-invent herself each week. I don't think she will be the most entertaining of singers on say a live tour, although she could do more intimate gigs... however, her voice is a recording one... and I would consider buying an album of hers.... and there haven't been many past x factor singers who I could say the same.

I think she is a recording star, not a performer. Her album fans would be hyped about a performance from her, but in general she isn't the biggest sparkler on the show. As for Frankie, he certainly didn't earn any mercy so he's gone because he should be.
I'd of loved to see Frankie win it, as It might of been the final nail in the coffin of what was the x factor. Every show has a shelf life and I think it past its a couple of seasons ago.

I think the judges switch was too much for it to handle. I wouldn't say it is bad now, but it is pretty mediocre and rarely memorable these days. I am not going to give it up, but I remember it being much more exciting when Leona Lewis was about to win. After this many years, people would at least like the consistency of the panel and their personalities, but Louis is the last of them and he was never the star.

Hi Lexi! Thanks for your nice comment!
I do think that she has a pretty decent recording voice to be fair to her, but my god it would get boring after a while listening to the same take on every song she has sung. Yes it's melodic, slightly haunting & inoffensive, but for me there's no strength, passion or character to it (if you get my drift). In addition, it is sadly the case that they're looking for the person who the public identifies with and this will involve performance on stage & making a name for themselves off it, rather than just a voice occasionally heard over the airwaves (I must confess that I hadn't got a clue what her name was!). She was truly shocking last saturday and I'm stunned that in a so-called talent contest, with such a major prize at the end of it, someone who forgets the words got through. Hey ho I guess!!
So dear Frankie is now a poor deranged junkie ... give me a break. I'm pretty sure that they've realised that he's a not only a weapon of the highest order, but that they've shown him the door due to the realism that he's completely devoid of talent. I mean how many people are there out there (claiming to be genuine singers), that can completely destroy a Clash song like he did not long ago??! )
As a side note, I've just seen an advert for M&S on TV and they're all singing on that ... what the hell is the world coming to??!
It'll be interesting to see what happens in this week's show ...
