Cavalry twill trousers

I'm looking for some cavalry twill trousers, in trying to recreate the look from both Goldfinger and Thunderball. I see pairs online, but I'm looking for something with a more modern fit, and I don't know if the pairs I'm seeing would be more typical of my generation, or my father's (Not to put down the style of my elders, it's just not for me).

Has anybody had any luck in finding trousers like these?

That's interesting. I know of a few companies selling cavalry twill trousers. They are sometimes known as pinks and are what WW II U.S. Army Officers wore, particularly flight Officers. Indiana Jones also wore them in varying shades depending on the movie. In order to get the Connery Bond look you will have to get the average pair "pegged". That means the pant leg is essentially narrowed to give the proper look. The average pair of pinks are, I think, too wide but a good tailor can do the alteration rather in-expensively. The other alternative is to order them from Indy Magnoli and specify a narrow leg like the Bond pants he has for sale.
