sweet, and its a proper one too (non of that co-axial stuff).

i blew me first paycheck on mine and never ever regretted it. i had my first job wearing it, i had my first drive of an aston wearing it, i proposed to my mrs with it on, got married in it, and right now its hanging of the old gentleman sausage.

Congratulations drum, It's a great piece. Mine has spent much too much time in the watch box. Running a little fast too, but with a service and regulation she'll be fine. Enjoy it in good health.

Very nice, I was curious as to how you came upon it (being previously used) do they come up on ebay auctions occasionally or something? How can you tell if it's the real deal? I ve wanted to get a used one for a long time but am afraid of getting ripped off

This was purchased from a good friend of mine who had purchased it brand new back in the late 90s I believe. Once Omega changed to the co-axial, the price of a new one today is double! I figured this was a good opportunity to get it at a great deal.

Nicely done! I've become an Omega junkie myself. I love my CR Seamaster and just last year picked up a CR Planet Ocean which is great for casual occasions. Enjoy your baby in good health.

Is there anything wrong with the co-axial movement? Sometimes I still debate getting another Seamaster in black to wear on a strap. I think those have the co-axial movement.

not as far as im aware, but with TND and TWINE being among my fave films, I went for the pre-co-axial movement as its essentially the same model.

when i bough my seamy the co-axial wasn't even out then, and with GE being my fave flick i guess i shoulda had the quartz, but i couldnt resist the chrono instead.

The term "Co-Axial" refers to the co-axial escapement created by George Daniels. It is considered one of the most significant advances in horology in recent years. The co-axial escapement reduces sliding friction. The old lever escapement needs lubrication to reduce the friction. The co-axial escapement needs virtually no lubriction. So, ultimately Omegas with the co-axial movement will be more accurate than ones with the old lever escapement.
