Schick Quattro Titanium vs Gillette Pro Glide

If you used to use Gillette Pro Glide, please try the Schick Quattro Titanium. Same quality of shave, lasts almost a month! Also, made in Germany instead of China. Someone has to help pay Greek's debt.

I say this because I used to think Pro Glide was the best shave ever, but I would need a new one every 4, 5 days.

If someone has the same or a different experience, I'd be glad to hear it.

I don't use any one model in particular, but have noticed Gillette are way sharper than Wilkinson - right across the range.

on the go i use the excellent gillette vector...sadly only available in asia i think...a hybrid of razor and disposable...excellent grip and long lasting blades

Hmm, shouldn't say this but for those whose hair is beginning its slow recession over the next decade, I'm not sure a close shave is what you want. Wet shave once a week, use an electric the rest of the time unless you want quicker receding hair. I have this theory that a really peachy baby's bottom close shave speeds up recession, take it or leave it.

Well, sorry to offend you, but with all the publicity and everyone around me seems to use the Gillette Proglide, I think that people are getting confused by the hype. I was.

Schick Quattro Titanium seems to last longer, is as nice and is made in Germany. This is why I switched. And I asked for opinion to see if I was wrong or if there was another alternative that's worth it.

Wait wat? .. Shaving your beard affects the hair on your scalp?

No evidence out there it does, just my experience, but it makes sense. I don't mean shaving generally affects it, but a real peachy smooth wet close shave every day for a week will have an effect within the week if you're susceptible anyway.

The 'science' would be that when you notice the stubble come thru real hard, say at 19-20 years rather than previous bum fluff, the hair on the head changes its character, becomes more fluffy, maybe 1 mm of recession, give up on the side parting. Again, not the case if you have Cloony's hairline, and it's my experience, but I did notice it on other guys. So it makes sense that a real close shave may activate the bristles, taking them onto the next level, and hairline kicks up a notch I know this sounds like cobblers but it happened every time I did a week of sustained wet shaving, feeling like James Bond in LALD, not suprisingly I tend to stick to the electric razor, now, though got outflanked this year when an electric pre-shave lotion gave me a peachy smooth shave, with same effect.
