At 1 minute and 5 seconds in he says "it was used in the last James Bond film and will probably be used in the next one as well". If the interview had taken place in the last couple of weeks then yes I'd agree with you Paperbill but that's a big jump to make. However like most of us on here I would be gobsmacked if Bond used any other watch brand in Skyfall.
Hmmmm, interview was back in May...and it seems he says, "may" be back again...
These things are planned way in advance, so the fact that the President of Omega made it in May just confirms it for me. They might be switching models, but not Omega. And also given the secrecy of the announcment and Omega probably kicking off with a marketing campaignn at the same time...he probably could not say more.
Omega Planet Ocean watch is a very nice, but personally I prefer the omega of the time of Brosnan, but I have 2, almost always use the 40th anniversary
To me there is no doubt that it's going to be an Omega. Bond can't be switching allegiance every movie or so. It wouldn't serve any of the two brands. Rolex (who has all the money in the world and could by whomever if they wanted) seems to focus on other people right now (http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/7062562/tiger-woods-endorsement-deal-rolex).
Omega needs Bond. Rolex doesn't.
If you can't trust a Swiss banker, what's the world come to?
personally, it wouldnt surprise me if the next bond watch (or one of them) would be this liquid metal stuff, but when the kids at mi6-hq.com climb out their playpen to use 'tha pooter lolz' i get very cynical.
bond's next watch, being too expensive for my wallet is kinda irrelevant anyways. it didnt dawn on me until i was chatting to danjaq_off about this, but it was ten years or so from seeing the seamy on screen to owning my own.
i aint rich enough to go buying two and half grand watch just cos DC has one. 8-)

Yeah, I'm not one for following as such, however, I do like the Omega watches irrespective of the Bond link, but I also like others which are a hell of a lot more expensive! I have expensive taste unfortunately! Doesn't really matter though, as I like my two Swatch watches; one being the Thunderball version. It looks good and I often get asked about it when I'm out, more so than my friends who own Omegas! Quite funny really with me paying just £36 for it brand new!...
...Still wouldn't mind an Omega!

The Planet Ocean in Liquid Metal looks great. I've been unable to find the Casio Seamaster (MTD 1051a), but am hoping they come out with a similar watch more like the new one that I can beat up at my next sea command.
