Any tips for cleaning Church Ryder III's (Suede)

Never really owned Suede products before :)

After several nights out in bars etc I have a few stains on my Church Ryders (probably beer). Any tips on cleaning / brushing Suede?

kersher power washer, or if your car has a sunroof, why not go for a drive through car wash, open sunroof, stick feet out (with shoes on, duh) and hey presto, clean car, clean brogues.

Did you apply suede protection before you wore them for the first time? If so, it makes them easier to clean and they don't pick up the dirt as fast.

For cleaning, I use a soft toothbrush and water, applying circular motions. Don't press too hard. Allow them to dry naturally and then apply another layer of protection.

If you use cedar shoe trees then you shouldn't need to worry too much about the insides.

    Regards,

Someone on Style Forum posted this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQY-NVhpzQw

A member used it to help him clean vomit off his suede chukkas (courtesy of some drunk girl at a bar).

Did you take some before pics?

Seriously, though... the weatherproofing spray really helps. Use it before you go out and after you clean them!

Another old tip for cleaning suede shoes is to hold them over the steam from a boiling kettle for a few minutes. Let them dry a bit and then use a suede brush on them.

This does actually work ... so long as the suede isn't completely ruined to begin with.
