It's quite the thing to DRESS like Bond...

…It’s quite the other to BE like Bond….

DaveZ-02.jpg

While gathering Christmas items from the attic I ran across some old files.
I saw this article in the paper I had clipped out and saved many years ago.

I’m sure our very own Mantis (David Zaritsky) will be surprised to see me post this.
The fact that he never mentions this incident makes him all the more the true meaning of the word “Hero”

Ed that was very very kind of you to post....but they took that pic of me 2 hours after being thawed out from the ice and the smile is forced. As for the hair, I have bu defense except the shock of the water was nothing compared to the shock if that cut!

Good job David. True heroic stuff. This brings back memories, I lived barely a 1/2 mile from that location, on the other side of the tunnel. We used to use Bert Crawford Rd as the short cut to the mall. This is a blast from the past. Remember the house on that road that used old toilets on the front lawn as planters? That was a real class act. What would Bond say?
Bond: "But who would want to kill me, sir?"
M: "Jealous husbands, outraged chefs, humiliated tailors . . . the list is endless."

I'm a bit stuck for words here. - We all like to think we would do the right things possibly like Bond? Here is historical proof David already has. A brave and exemplary rescue, under the worst possible circumstances. Well done sir. I already wanted to meet you when you are next the UK if possible, - even more so now.

Ed thanks to you too, for highlighting this.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

For a sec I thought that was Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dumber... LOL except the complete set of teeth...

On a serious note, it's great to know there are still people of David's calibre around the world in the case someone ends up in a pinch. I don't know any who are braggarts... sorry if this call to attention is a bit much, David but nice work, chap.
