I bought one of their more expensive Natazzi suit to try them, obviously they are not worth the price they say, but they're decent and labeled made in Italy. I don't think they are fully canvassed. 160s fabric is very thin, and it is said that if you were to wear it everyday, it wouldn't last forever because it's thin, but it's very nice. 15% cashmere. They say the fabric is Canali, however there is no proof.

For the record, the suit I bought was this model: http://www.suits4menonline.com/bianco-brioni-italian-linen-mens-suit-modern-2010-two-button-2pc-flat-front-pants-ticket-pocket-hand-tailored-suit-navy.html
Think their prices are a little made up. Seems like you're getting a great deal, but the 'real price' is about right, the 'usual price' is highly inflated.
Taking a suit like this to a tailor would be like taking my mini to Newport pagnell lol

Well their brands are fake, and the price they sell it for is basically the price it's worth. And I have no illusions about the fact that they are probably not made in Italy, even though that's what they say. And I don't think they are fully canvassed, even though they say it clearly (I'd have to ask my tailor, because there are several options other than fused, it's hard to know).
But the Natazzi I got is decent, even though you should resist buying a off-the-rack with surgeon's cuff because, like BLU8 said, if you have to alter it, it's impossible and if it doesn't fit, then... what do you do?
But still, the Natazzi (at 399$ instead of 499$) was a good buy for the price. I don't think your 1000$ Hugo Boss or DKNY is better, but not a serious brand either.
The real deal, in terms of it actually being Gieves and Hawkes. I have one and its very nice.
Since you have one, can you check were it is made?
"Your Gieves and Hawkes suit was probably made by the Cheshire Clothing Company. Chester Barrie owned CCC and the manufacturing plant in Crewe, England made their collection of RTW suits and tailored the suits for their MTM program. CCC had many licenses to manufacture suits under various brand names such as G&H, Turnbull & Asser, Spencer Hart, Burberry, Oswald Boateng and Saks Fifth Avenue. Chester Barrie went bankrupt in 2002 and CCC was sold to the plant's former managers in 2003, but again the factory went bankrupt in March of that year. In April 2006, Savile Row tailor Tony Lutwyche purchased CCC and revived the brand and company as Cheshire Bespoke, manufacturing it's own branded line of RTW and MTM.
