Bond Villains

I just rewatched the Robert De niro spy flick Ronin and I thought it was cool that it had 3 former Bond villains in the cast. Michael Lonsdale (Hugo Drax), Jonathan Pryce ( Elliot Carver ) and Sean Bean ( Alex Trevelyan )
This was a great flick. The question I have is did this movie ruin Goldeneye a bit for anyone else ????
I know it came out after Goldeneye, but after I saw Ronin I always had a hard time accepting Sean Bean as Bonds equal in Goldeneye. In Ronin Sean Beans character is ambushed by a cup of coffee from RD's character. After that I just never felt the same about Goldeneye. I know it is silly but it has just always been something that has stuck with me. I think GE is a great film, but I would be lying if I said Ronin didn't diminish 006 just a bit with me. Just curious if anyone else has ever thought this.
