Magnoli Quantum Harringtons - Anybody Own?

After owning the real deal Tom Ford (but sadly the wrong size) and waiting patiently for a Y3 to turn up in XL (given up) I am now thinking about going the Magnoli route for both jackets!!

Does anybody own these? Are you happy? The pics seem pretty good however they always do!!!

Dan's already got the Y-3 replica($195) on the site and he's working on the Harrington. Admittedly, he's hard to get ahold of, but he's a good guy and does great work.

I contacted Dan and he sent me a few pics of his Y3, unfortunately they were not great pics as the jacket looked very shiny / reflective. Im sure that this was just the camera / picture as I hear great stuff about his work - would love to see better pics of this jacket but as you say he is a busy guy.

Anybody own and have any pics of the Logans Closet version??

EDIT: I see the pic now on his site however again its quite shiny, I think this pic has been taken in the evening under a light.

On another note his Layer Cake jacket looks ace!!!

Have you seen a Y-3 in person? It's 4% elastine and I wouldn't call it shiny but it definitely has a sheen that isn't present in most mostly cotton jackets. Dan had my jacket in hand and matched it as closely as possible so I'd assume what you're seeing is bad photography. Haven't seen his in person though.

No I haven't. I think the photos were under light with a flash, it was hard to grasp what the material was like as quite glossy and no close-ups!!!

Im sure it will be great, for that price I will take a gamble anyhow but now I'm more intrigued by his Layer Cake jacket now, however never really got on with leather jackets personally as never think they suit me :s

If you are interested in a layer cake jacket, I have the Wested version size 40 (fits 38/40) for sale.

Got various bits and pieces from Magnoli for gaps in my collection.

All seem pretty good value for money; ties seem pretty good copies. Got his Armani leather jacket a few years ago which I love, Madagascar pants. Picked up his version of the TF Harrington from a user on here who'd got too big for it; find it to be a cracking jacket and a good standard of workmanship, seems a very good copy of the Ford original.

Waiting now for his Quantum overcoat, my biggest order. Should have had it today but Fedex had it miss their bloody flight from Paris to the UK overnight (!) so am expecting it Wednesday (if there aren't any further ****-ups!)...

I'll report then on its quality but so far I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Magnoli stuff if you can't get the original.

Any pics of the jacket? I'm interested in the improved collar tabs Magnoli said he updated, as well as the interior pocket (is there a 2nd pocket?), and after I get the nod from welsh - who will have had both in hand once he orders his ;) - I will officially add it to my list for next X-mas.

Looking at the Magnoli TF Harrington pics it does indeed look very close to the actual one I used to own, think I will def order one early New Year

Got the QOS overcoat I mentioned in post #7 yesterday, and I am absolutely delighted.

Perfect fit (even from measurements I took myself!), and it seems to have the same cut and features of the TF original.

    Highly recommend Magnoli's work.
