SD Studios boxes?!

Hi all,

I've just bought an SD Studios Golden Gun on eBay, and realised it doesnt have the original 007 etched case which some come with - was it an optional extra originally? Anyway, does anyone know if/where I can get hold of just a case?

    you could try getting in touch with SD, mighta have a 'spare' one kicking about.....

    The first generation Golden Guns came with the walnut case, the second a lump of wood :D , if you are looking for a case it will set you back about $1k approx :o

    Haha, thanks minigeff! In all seriousness - how does one get in touch with SD - I cant find any contact info...obviously there's no such thing any more, but Steve must be contactable?
    The one I purchased was a first generation and cost much less than the cost of a suggested case cost, so I certainly wouldn't want to spend that much danjaq_0ff. :o

    easier to have one made. SD did sell the cases seperately but not any more. You could get one made for probably 200 bucks. Why would you bother though as it was not very good. get a nice case made to your own design and you will have something to treasure

    Does anyone know what the original plaque had on it? I have a wooden plaque which carries a smaller metal "plaque" which says The James Bond collection THE GOLDEN GUN. However, I've also seen a version which carries the edition numbered plaques which buyers got with the cases. I wondered which was correct, or are both?!

    Both are correct as the last lot were not numbered. I have had many of both. Same goes for the Moonraker wrist guns.
