I heard people say that james Bond, and Bond movies would last forever,- but everyone knows someday, the epic series has to end. This is a kind of sad topic really, but it doesn't have to be. it will end one day, when the producers have deceased and know one else wants to carry on the movie series, most likely. I don't think it will be for a long shot now, they have Daniel Craig, a strong, good Bond, who will last for the upcoming 3rd, a 4th most likely, and maybe a 5th, could do more. What do you guys think? Bond will end one day.

I can see at least one actor succeeding Daniel Craig. But who that actor is, and how many films he's gonna wind up doing is hard for me to say. Because the only predictable type of casting for 007 was Pierce Brosnan. And everyone believed Pierce was going to do a fifth film, because he had said as much on TV, but then the deal fell through...So it's hard to predict how these things are gonna pan out.

But yeah, I see at least one actor eventually replacing Daniel Craig but anymore actors succeeding Craig's successor is a lovely pipe dream but it might turn out to be just that, a pipe dream.

yeah, i agree a pipe dream. I reckon they might continue on, they found some new audicence, i have a friend who hates 007 but likes the daniel craig movies. Theres probably more out there

It seems that the Craig films are trying to capture the younger audience, such as myself. I think that's exactly what EON is in the process of doing. They want to make sure the series keeps its fame for years to come.

I don't think it's anytime soon. James Bond has become firmly cemented in pop culture, and has become an action hero archetype. I think the day they stop making James Bond movies is the day they stop making action/adventure movies, because so long as you can cook up a plot, you can cook up a new Bond film, and so long as it's good, people will watch.

Luckily the series can change For different tastes and trends, admittedly it's not to mine at the moment.
Then I've read posts from some who hated the R Moore tenure. So this is simply my Turn not to
be Happy

I can see the series running for as long as they Make money. There are not many movies with so much
history and built in Advertising behind them as a new Bond.

Sherlock Holmes is the #1 movie in the world as we speak AND he is still going strong over a century later. I think Bond is going to be around awhile. B-)
