I thought this would be an interesting topic to talk about. Are there any books, old movies, television shows and stuff like that you want them to turn into a new movie. I want them to make an epic Biggles movie, then made an awful sci-fi movie in the 80's i believe but i think if you could get the right people doing the job they could actually make a decent film. and the young bond series, that would be cool. get a good actor, not a glamrous one, and hopefully it doesnt turn out like stormbreaker.

I would really love to see a biopic of Jim Bowie.

Also any Harry Hole book, probably chronologically, would be awesome. Jo Nesbø is the writer, I'd recommend to any Michael Connelly fans, sort of like a Harry Bosch but an Oslo version.
And some oldercLudlums would be great. I love the cold war era books by him, they are so much better than the Bourne ones. The Sigma Protocol, The Matarese Circle, and The Matarese Countdown would be awesome.

Arthur C. Clarke's The City And The Stars and The Songs Of Distant Earth are two wonderful stories that each explore, in their own way, mankind's ability to survive against all odds.
City and the Stars takes place a billion years in our future and finds mankind having evolved into a stagnant society that has hidden itself away in the magnificent city of Diaspar. Into this idyllic society is born the first child with a spark of curiosity and imagination and he sets into motion a series of events that will propel mankind back to the stars, whether it wants to or not.
Songs of Distant Earth follows the crew of the Magellan, a spaceship that narrowly escaped the destruction of Earth when our sun went supernova, and its fateful encounter with a long lost human colony on a faraway world. At turns funny, heartbreaking and mysterious Clarke once again shows mankind at its best (and sometimes worst) as it tries to survive and thrive in a cold, dangerous universe.
H. G. Well's The Time Machine is a dark novel that has never been filmed as a 100% faithful adaptation. George Pal's version is far too optimistic and simplistic. The original novel takes the concepts of evolution and Darwinism to some pretty disturbing conclusions and doesn't offer a neat and tidy happy ending. Its a dark and thoughtful novel that would probably resonate well in these more uncertain times.
Finally, as a fan of the Halo games, I think they'd make great movies. The lore behind the games is rich and deep and there are so many places a Halo movie could go and sights that it could show us. The original Halo game had a surprisingly deep story behind it and a nicely realized alien culture driving the narrative. A big budget, all CGI movie would be a sight to behold.
