It sort of feels humbling, because most of the Spanish players I've never even heard of, aside from Torres who seems to be the Heskey of the team allowed to score when everyone else has. Well, you know...

Daniel Levy should play Blofeld. Mind you, Blofeld was a bit more enthusiastic and quick about building his alternative sites, he'd have had a new stadium up and running a darn sight quicker.

I'd cut AVB some slack for Chelsea...he was given a brief to overhaul the squad...but not the money or the time to do so...RDM just put the players back in the team that AVB was told to get rid of and went back to playing their old system...RDM didn't achieve anything in the league (he should have finished higher) but playing the old Chelsea way was still good enough to conquer Europe....

Two systems - Hawk-Eye and GoalRef - have passed Fifa's criteria for use. The goal-line technology argument is a very interesting one. While I agree entirely with having the ability to judge whether a ball has fully crossed the line or not (as we have seen in Germany v England, England v Ukraine, Spurs v United etc etc etc), what it won't be called into arbitrate on is whether the player was off-side, whether a hand was used, whether he fouled a defender etc etc. So we could end up with is Hawkeye telling us "Yes, the ball crossed the line", but no one noticing that Thierry Henry volley-balled it twice on the way in.

It appears that sporting integrity has been placed ahead of finance. With Rangers in the Third Division the clubs will get less money from TV contracts.

That's true, and some clubs are starting to worry about that...although on the plus side, the smaller clubs should get a decent payday when Rangers come to visit...

It's looking inevitable that David Moyes will be officially appointed Fergie's successor. Everton have confirmed that Moyes will depart, United's Facebook page contained "Send your personal welcome to our new manager David Moyes". It was later deleted.
