Daniel Craig is set to part of an all-star cast in The Monuments Men alongside George Clooney, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Jean Dujardin, John Goodman, Hugh Bonneville and Bob Balaban. Adapted by Clooney and his long time partner Grant Heslov, the drama takes place during the final days of Nazi Germany as Adolf Hitler and the Nazis try to cover their tracks by destroying all the artwork they had stolen during their rise to power, as a group of art historians and museum curators try to rescue those works of art.
Daniel Craig received the award for British Artist of the Year at the 2012 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards presented by BBC America yesterday. According to the Mail Online, Daniel Craig is to be paid over £31 million for the next two Bond films he has signed up for. This will place him near the top of Hollywood's leading men in terms of earnings. He had previously been paid £1.9 million Casino Royale, £4.4 million Quantum of Solace, and £10.7 million Skyfall. There is a chart comparing the six Bond actors average fees which is translated into today's money.
Daniel Craig recently passed his U.S. driving test (on Staten Island) on his first attempt. He decided to get his American driving licence because he spends much of his time living in New York. All non-US citizens are required to complete a written test, a five hour safety course and the short driving test before qualifying for a licence. It is not known what car Craig used for the test but it is unlikely to have been an Aston Martin, according to the New York Post. His licence will be valid for ten years.
Daniel Craig has been voted Britain's favourite male film actor in a poll conducted by Sky Movies. Craig picked up 26% of the vote, ahead of Johnny Depp 11.5%, and Will Smith 11.4%. Judi Dench topped the female vote with 27%, ahead of Helena-Bonham Carter 10%, Cameron Diaz and Mila Kunis both 6%.

According to Baz Bamigboye of the Mail, Daniel Craig and the misses Rachel Weisz are in talks to appear together this autumn on Broadway in Betrayal, Harold Pinter's 1978 cool dissection of deceit. Bamigboye also says, if it all comes together, it would be for a limited run because Craig has to begin pre-production on Bond 24 next year.
