Minigeff for Quartermaster

In another thread Markus (aka Bondtoys) suggested that Minigeff should be promoted to Quartermaster to stand along with the likes of The Mantis. I actually think this is a great idea since MG has contributed to the forum is so many ways while retaining a great sense of humour througout.

In view of this I would like to nominate MG for this position and if you agree please do signal your support below.

I'm afraid that positions within AJB aren't open to a public vote. This isn't the X-Factor.

    Thank you for your interest.

I don't watch X-Factor BUT I DO have the right to an opinion.

Thank you for your repsonse but I would still like to put forward MG for the post of Quartermaster and ask the opinions of other members!

    Thank you for your interest!

Sorry, but to become a Mod, the first person you have to impress is SiCo, and he has to believe you are someone who can help run the site--being a moderator isn't a pat on the head for being a good egg. Trust me: a lot of what we do is work, and you don't even see it!

As jsw has said, that is not how it works. New mods are recruited from time to time, but this is evaluated over some considerable time.

So you know how AJB operates? Funny, I've never seen you in one of our chats. As for treating people like f***wits, how smart is it to pick fights with each and every moderator on these boards?

I am not picking a fight (you are) but I am expressing an opinion - something you obviosuly feel threatened by.

What is wrong with suggesting a possible promotion of a fellow member to become a Quartermaster? What harm can that do? Yet you want to close the thread! Why? Sorry but you obviously feel threatened by this as you don't want forum members tosupport it.

If the thread is closed, how can you still post? And please stop trying to play psychological games.
