50th Anniversary of James Bond 007 Movie

A just for fun thread...

If you could see any Bond movie (except for SkyFall) at the cinema shown again especially for the 50th anniversary of James Bond which one would you pick and why? I guess Dr No. is the most obvious being the first but From Russia With Love has been a long standing favorite of mine.

Moonraker. Actually, the others have been shown at the cinema in London, OHMSS was very good at the BFI Imax, but MR has a lush look and is unlikely to get the offer. FRWL doesn't work too well on the big screen in my experience, it drags a bit, but Dr No is excellent.

Ok, maybe I'm a bit judgmental. Thunderball has its moments. Some slow-moving movies are fine, Im sorry, but if they were going to do this. it would be Goldfinger or Dr No hands down.

I agree on Goldfinger because it has everything however Thunderball looks great and the ladies look better!!!!!!!!

yeah, maybe, but if they did do it it would be the either those two, thats the type of bond movies non-bond fans would choose. if you know what I mean

I personally would rather see Thunderball in theatres. That movie makes me have some indescribable feeling. It might be the effortless longing and chemistry in the dancing. Just too believably great. Like "magic soaking my spine" when I'm watching him and those ladies. Goldfinger has certain other elements more Bond, but I just think there is something sweet in the thrill of Thunderball.

Thunderball has the advantage of being widescreen unlike the first 3 films. Cinematography seems a notch above, too. Plot is a bit messy though.

Exactly, although the first 3 films are superior, TB seems like it would be more fun to watch on the big screen. TSWLM would also be fun.

Have to say, I saw GF in the last two years at the cinema and currently it doesn't work. Amazing pic quality (almost too good) but Park Royal can't get the sound loud enough, it lacks the crash bang wallop effect it needs. Not sure Barry's score works well in digital either, loses the pounding, visceral drive.
