Skyfall Swim Trunks

They are shown here:

And I have a pair of board shorts with colors like the Casino Royale shorts, only they are ridiculously long. So I designed a pair here:

What do you think? These look just like my Rusty board shorts, only shorter, and without the bottle opener tied to the side pocket (this one just has a rear pocket).

I might reverse the front and the back (colors Navy and Cyan), but it's fun to play around and make your own shorts. I really hate wearing shorts that could pass as capris. :))

Wife growing our second child, and I just have no energy to hit the gym after working all day, especially when my kid wants to play as soon as I come home. I'm afraid I won't be able to work for that kind of body until I'm 42, and retired from the Navy.

From this angle the Skyfall shorts look more like GF/TB shorts without the stripes, than CR shorts.

It's been suggested that it could be these:

    http://www.asos.com/Orlebar-Brown/Orlebar-Brown-Bulldog-Swim-Short/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1432906&cid=6971&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Purple

Ironic, because I was just reading about these last week on a Steve McQueen forum.

    Regardless of whether they're in the movie or not, I like them! Fitted enough to look smart, but not too fitted like the budgie smugglers from CR! -{

swimsuit photography is more like that of Casino Royale, this more like a sports pants, nothing typical Bond :(

I reckon they are the Orlebar Brown 'Setter' in Sky.

I have a few pairs of these and they are great. Smart enough to wear on a boat trip and also on the beach.

Of course just like the QoS Oliver People Airman sunglasses fiasco, Tom Ford could easily rebadge / rip em off of Sky Fall!

Let's bear in mind that Tom Ford do actually make swimwear and their shorts are very classic looking but I believe are elastane mix whereas the OB Setter shorts are not stretchy.

I would think that if they were the TF shorts they would be closer fitting and you DC's rear wouldn't be showing, the OB shorts are not body hugging and I would put money on them being Bond's new swimwear.

Ive sent them an email asking if they provided them - don't expect a reply from general contact addy, expect you need to contact someone higher up the chain!

"Put money on it"? Therein lies financial ruin.

TF are very precious about the Bond stuff - see Welshboy's comments. Just because TF's older ranges don't include anything in this new style, don't be suprised to see it appear for Summer 2012...

Orlebar Brown are quite a small company and I found them very good with replying to enquiries.

I do like those shorts. If only they were more affordable!!!! Budget options Dave?
  • WildeWilde Oxford, UKPosts: 621MI6 Agent
I have found a few interesting alternatives which might interest folks. Ralph Lauren, Fred Perry, Paul Smith and Tommy Hilfiger all do sky blue fitted swim shorts at between £30-60. Will try to post details later, in the interim, look them up on google.

    Happy hunting.

Yeah, it's only 10%. I will wait until the brand is confirmed before shelling out that much dosh. They are very nice though. Better than my CR trunks.
