Little marketing information around spotting these types of items and companies giving any "official" word of confirmation. There are MAJOR and MINOR brands in any movie, and SkyFall is no different. Major brands are those brands that pay a LOT of money or have given significant trade of expense around items. For that consideration they are given a nod to be more exclusive and explosive in the marketing around their affiliation. For those brands that wind up being used in the film, these are considered minor brands and often have not paid to be IN the movie. There seems to be a deference to the MAJOR brands being able to capture the marketing limelight first and bigger than the minor brands. So, the dilemma will often be that we may not have a public confirmation from minor brands, but good spotters and polite discussions should net some potential conclusions. I do want to remind all of us, as it has been mentioned of late, around the Airman Op issue (still my go to glasses for whats its worth) so I think every purchase is a caveat emptor...

Considering the $45mil in product placement, I can't imagine there are many brands that didn't pay to be filmed in the movie. Perhaps these swim shorts are the exception. I don't think they are a bad purchase, either way.
A Google search reveals he has had 5 publicly known, one of which is now removed. One on each bicep, one towards the ankle, and one in a "private area". The removed one was an H on his hip from a previous relationship. Not sure how accurate that is, but there are a few links about it if you Google it.
Obviously if they are falling off the waist they are too big. However, use the official site's sizing chart and you should be fine. They do not stretch so the waist size is the maximum waist size, and the pull tabs can take it in about 2 cm before the fabric begins to fold. Remember, although we only really have 1 pic of DC in them, these are definitely supposed to be a looser fitting trunk both in the leg and the waist (I see crack!)
I tried to stay away from this site but I check the James Bond Lifestyle site for The Mantis' videos from time to time and noticed the new swim trunks. It looks like you guys are on the game for this one. I still wish we knew about those second pair of swim trunks in Casino Royale.
I don't know if I'll pick up the first or second version of the Orlebar Brown trunks. I need to check out the material. I still like wearing the La Perla trunks too. I probably should have picked up two pair of those. Also, I noticed that Orlebar Brown has a pair of "Resort" trunks that are similar to that blue one piece that Connery wore in Goldfinger. I think a lot of people dislike that outfit but I will definitely purchase some of those trunks for the summer.
How do you like the length on the "Setter"? Are they really short? I'm thinking about going in on the "Bulldog" as they may be more fitting to my comfort zone.

Perhaps a propper throwback to the connery days
The good news is that this looks like an item that is one of their main styles and should be in stock for a while.
Great post, David!
Nah, not the same at all, Simon.
That's Sean Connery off duty and out of character as James Bond.
This is what you get with Daniel Craig off duty and out of character as James Bond:

Do they run significantly big?
PS: You should have gone for the swim-sock! )
I'm a 34 so they should fit me then - hand them over!
On second thoughts did you say you had worn them..? )

Very funny! Thanks for posting )
They got the legs off. Now they just have to whittle him down so all that's left is his smile and his little finger!
Bloody hell, even The Guardian is getting in on the Bond swimshorts action )
