I do have a confession to make... I dont care much for Goldfinger...

it bores me for some reason...despite so many 'classic' Bond scenes. And Pussy Galore reminds me too much of Chelsea Lately, very unnattractive...

I agree as well about Goldfinger. It is my least favorite Connery and unless it is on tv. I never watch it.

I know a lot of people consider it one of Moore's best, but I cant stand OP. I rather watch MR, TMWTGG or even AVTAK.

Double-dating. The date was Goldeneye at the cinema and a meal afterwards. Friend and I agree for some stupid reason that it would be good fun to go in full tux, bow-tie etc. meet at the cinema and friend has bottled out. Bollocks... Looked a proper tit and no amount of bravado could make me feel better. Especially as girls and friend were jeans casual. :#

This made me laugh so hard. :))

I don't like godlfinger that much either. People were saying how awesome it was, classic Bond film and all, but half the movie Bond is captured, the bond girls are no good, and Goldfinger' death is cheesy. My fav connery is a tie between Dr.No, and FRWL. Those two are a classic bond film. Goldfinger I chuck probably 4th.

I agree somewhat about Goldfinger. It drags a bit once the setting changes to Kentucky (I love everything up to that point, though). It somewhat saves itself with a good climax.

I'm sure that the second half wouldn't seem boring if I were seeing it for the first time. I just find myself less enthusiastic about watching those parts again.

My confession is that I would like to see Casino Royale as the last appearance of the DB5 and Quantum as the last appearance of the PPK. I know they're great Bond icons but both the Bentley and the Beretta were deemed to have "had their day" and were replaced by newer models in their time & feel that now the DB5 & PPK now look far too "antique" & incongruous compared to the DBS and P-99 to ever appear in a Bond film again.

James Bond does now walk around with Ursula Andress as she is now or keep using the photocopier in a suitcase from OMHSS, so why not stick to using the latest version of the Aston and Walther? Time to move on.

I was really annoyed that that the PPK came back for QoS - It looked like a downgrade after years of seeing Bond carry a P-99. I had hoped they'd moved on.

    There - I've said it - the DB5 & PKK are old hat! :D

DB5, yes, PPK, no. i like the PPK, and i hated it for that brief time in the Brosnan era where it was substuted for the PP9. Keep the PPK, but I want another Bond Car, Aston Martin V8 vantage

I would agree with the PPK. It looked even more like a toy gun in QOS than it has in any other film. It looks more like the kind of gun a woman would have strapped to her leg than a gun for the worlds best secret agent.
