You may be lucky with the Blu-Rays coming out in Oct, which begs the question ....... why would you buy the DVDs when the complete BD set is only 90 quid? ?:)

    Possible answers:

    1. The DVD collection was cheaper/bargain price (possibly because it is used, or because the DVD's are discounted to make them cheaper than the BR).

    2. Not everyone has a BR player. I won't be buying a BR player as long as mu trusty quality DVD player is alive - and by the time it is not, BR may be replaced by another format!

I suppose it all depends on how much of a fan you are, personally if I didn't own a BD player then this collection at this price would make me go and buy one. I already have all the BDs available but this collection is a steal. I personally think that a DVD set, bought now, is false economy, having said that I bought the original first issue VHS OHMSS which I think cost me around £60 in the late 80s followed by the first full issue of the set avail at the time on VHS, then on DVD, then the ultimate on DVD and now the BD. This might be it fot a while until the Super Hi Def version comes out, probably for the 60th anniversary.

I was around a friends a while back and he had Casino Royale playing on his DVD player.

Call me a snob but it was like watching a pirate copy :)
