Nico, as I wrote to you on PM. Someone else contacted me through PM, before you even wrote in this thread. I gave him first privilege to buy them.

You sent me the first pm at 14:52 o'clock according to my inbox, the buyer sent me one at 14:38.

And keep this in PM, won't you?

    Hello all,

I am currently in contact with Sir Miles and the buyers about this. There is a further explanation to this, and I am in contact with all the parties, to resolve this.

I do not wish to make this public, and will deal with the buyers and Sir Miles.

For the record, I am terribly sorry for what it has caused this forum. This deal has gone awry in the worst and most unfortunate of ways.

I have no further comments, other than I am trying to do my part to resolve all this.

I can confirm that AHDK and myself are in a dialogue about this. He's being very helpful.

So there were three of us who sent money and never recieved shipment. This is getting more fishy. To what end, I'm starting to wonder.

I dont understand why this cannot be explained in public, I am not calling anyone a thief or dishonest however if there is a genuine reason then why not share it?????? This PM business between mods etc just doesn't sit right with me if the seller is genuine (though it shows what a great job the mods do here cleaning up crap like this)

If I couldn't follow through on a deal under genuine circumstances then I would post here, why be ashamed??

I mean these sunglasses go for a bomb on eBay (I've sold some myself) hence if this is a reason of change in mind I would admit it.

If the glasses have been lost, damaged or death in the family then why not say? Whats there to hide?? The more this is done behind closed doors then the more reason it is indeed fishy - sorry but this is how I and I'm sure many other see it

PS - I've had a few drinks at home so I apologize in advance and maybe I should butt out of this thread, however for some reason these type of threads bug me as I've never met such a forum with great people, the amount of deals I've done here and people helping me out has been immense. If the seller is genuine and can't follow through then it should still be SIMPLE, I don't understand why there should be any complications unless the seller has stupidly spent the money (which then of course might = thief regardless how you dress it up) {[] -{ :))

Well if that is the case why the hell did you hide it, things do go wrong?? Of course its private but we all trade off each other here so human nature for people to wonder why a deal goes wrong.

So 3 separate pairs were lost?

Do you have receipt of sunglasses purchase / proof of postage? This may satisfy the buyers for peace of mind and they could just be delayed in the post, believe me I've had stuff arrive after 8 weeks

Deleting your account would make things more suspicious and I don't know why you would do this? I don't think anybody from the outside has judged you, just asked why it has gone wrong

I beg to differ, your explanation was sufficient and to your benefit. As I am not a buyer I will now butt out of this. I hope everything works out!

He didn't hide it...he contacted the people involved (as far as I can find out) as soon as things went wrong....that's EXACTLY what he needed to do.

He has asked for his account to be deleted AFTER this has been resolved....so why would that make you suspicious ?

I simply meant why not explain this genuine error on his post 17 - of course it is between him and the buyers however I was thinking more for his benefit i.e for sake of his future trading with other members on this collecting forum, lets face it on eBay you hesitate if there is a ? over a buyer / seller

Why delete your account full stop, I don't see anyone pointing the finger except the buyers which is understandable at an unresolved stage (Human Nature)??

I hate seeing people leave forums under such circumstances

It's my opinion he saw an opportunity to make some quick money...and help people attain some Bond related stuff at the same time...no problem with that...I'm not sure he is here for the love of Bond himself....and, after all that has gone wrong, he may be a very happy chap if he never hears of Bond again !

Just wanted to add, that PayPal does NOT offer buyer protection for items, which have been purchased outside of the ebay system or contracted PayPal shops.

So people, don't reply on PP safety on private transactions - it simply does not exist!

As for credit card payments - at least here in Germany a refund from a fraudulent deal is not so easy. I went thru this recently.
If you have signed a payment slip, it will be very tough to cancel the payment - unless the seller changes something on the slip.

I am aware that some CCs offer an additional insurance package against fraud, but that's not for everyone.

Well, I am one of the screwed buyers, and I don't have a sufficient explanation or my money back! I agree with Welshboy78. If there is a reasonable explanation let's all hear it. Maybe it could be a learning experience for us all.

I will happily explain this to you over PM, and I believe I have tried. But I have no interest in making this a public affair, simple as that.

I wish to settle this properly. If I wanted to run away with your money, why the hell would I still be here then? we live in different countries, there is hardly any legal action that can be done. So honestly, would I still be here if I wanted to run away with your money? NO.

I just want this situation out of my life and move on.
