I have just been watching Mantis's pod cast "James Bond Gifting Message". I think David would make a great model for Diesel :D

Whew...wasn't sure what to find when I opened this thread... I assume you mean the stinky gas that goes into Mercedes and not the fashionable brand... ;)

Hey guys - I'm lost - what's the point of this thread?

    Is there a bond link?

What am I missing and should I care?

There are podcasts about Bond and Craig stuff, including The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I enjoy both podcast series. Hosted by the lovely Mantis.

To keep Paul happy here is the video in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XCGIgqtC8I

Out of interest does this forum 'embed' YouTube videos or is it a case of just posting the link?

I enjoy most of the podcasts - but this is the only one I didn't. It was the most self indulgent 'look what I have got that you can't get' podcast.

Now, fair enough, a lot of us can afford the stuff that's available, but there are many people that can't and it just seemed that this was rubbing it in their face a bit. I am sure that this was not the intention, but that' how it came across.

I must stress thatb this is not an attack on Bond Lifestyle or David Zaritsky, but this one podacst was a bit too smug for me.

I appreciate the feedback, and no offense taken...when you do these podcasts to such a wide audience you have to expect many different reactions. At the time when I did that one, all those items were available and I was trying to show a wide range of items that were a few dollars all the way up to more expensive items. Regardless, I appreciate the candor, Loo7k Out!

I can't afford most of this stuff, being only 19 (between 25 and 34 if you want to go by Google demographics ratings), but I enjoy drooling at the site of others' collections and purchases. Don't stop! I think the videos are great and I love when people get the chance to acquire things that have meaning to us fans of Craig, Bond, and entertainment in general. It's hard to show stuff you have and avoid anyone thinking you are just showing off. We should make sure to understand that some of your audience definitely can and will look to get some of the things you show with pride, so the information is being shared with good intentions. Thanks for the great time and info you and others share.

Agreed that a lot of this stuff is difficult to afford in these tough economic times, but it is fun to see what is out there and what other people have added to their collections. One of the greatest podcasts that the bond lifestyle did was the one at Target where they showed bond looks for really cheap. I think this would be a great one to revisit for winter apparal or at another store (like Wal-mart, Banana Republic, Gap, etc) to show people what to look for.

Also I think that it would be cool to get a "how to" section on bondlifesyle where people can post how they made certain props, obviously some of the stuff would be rediculously hard to repordoduce but some things may be doable for the average Joe if they were given the know too

'Self-indulgent'? 'Rubbing your face in it'? Bit harsh that to be fair! I agree that many cannot afford to buy such items or even when one has the money they can be hard to come-by. However, I also agree that it is fun to see these items. Lighten up...

And I just wanted to let people know that I also have a non-Bond video podcast that is more INSPIRED by but not directly Bond...you can subscribe to it below and you will be automatically sent a notice when there are new ones published:

    http://www.youtube.com/user/TheZLifestyle

Kind of a separation of Bond-ish versus Bond...

I just watched the two new videos by The Mantis. I like the Steve McQueen episode as I've been holding off on finding that sweater he wears early in Bullitt.

Is it 100% confirmed now that Orlebar Brown made the swim trunks in Skyfall?

    Mantis,

What size is your sweater in the podcast? I'm torn between a medium and a large. I enjoy your podcasts.

The Orlebar Browns are NOT confirmed by anyone official...but all things, including the company, are pointing to them...the size of the sweater is a medium. What is your jacket and waist size?
