Poison Pen from Octopussy for sale

I am looking to sell the pen featured as a poison pen in the film Octopussy. This has been in my possession some 18 years and was given to me by the then Business Development Director of Dunhill, who in turn had been given it by Montblanc when Dunhill acquired Montblanc in the years before it came into my possession.

Jens Roesler, grandson of the founder of Montblanc and the pre-eminent authority on all Montblanc pens has examined it and confirmed it as authentic. Because of its lack of the famous star on the cap, it is a one-off, unique item.

I may be reached via my private email jeremy@foxden.orangehome.co.uk

Hi. I can assure you that this is the real deal, for which you'll get a better idea if you google James Bond Acid Pen and look at the image of him holding the pen ansd discharging acid into a bowl/mortar

Sorry mate, Voituer is correct and you are wrong.

The pen from Octopussy has the pinstripe pattern and yours has the barley pattern, which is not visible in the movie.

And btw, EON©images are not allowed here.

I think the gold pens of the 1970's did not have the snowcap star as they would now.
  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,619MI6 Agent
well, Octopussy was in the 80s ;) but you are correct.

Additionally to the solid gold version, there was also a gold-plated brass version of the Solitaire pens and these have been used for the movie as far as I have been told. I worked there some time ago ;)

As i sit, writing this ditty,
I think about bondtoys (aka w Mitty)
On watches and pens, he's always right
Or is he just full of ****?
God know! To the rescue, like buster keaton,
To save us all from the crap of one dell deaton!
    He'll point out faux pahs,
    He'll provide us with facts,
    Feel insulted?
Well he won't give a crap.
So from the perils of collecting,
    The crap and the joys,
He's the one and the only,

    Roses are red,
    Violets are blue.
    Pinstripes are in
    …and right on the pen
    While Barley’s a grain
    …to be eaten by hens.

I've seen this time and time before,
They post their ad, then post no more,
"I got this poster for free, $150!"
Stick it you dweeb, a regular hollors.
    Cinema posters, dinkies, now pens.
I really wonder when will it all end?
These one post wonders are missing out you see,
On the infinite knowledge found on AJB
From DG's holsters to DZ's suits,
From mickey's golden gun, to church Ryder boots,
From Markus' watches, to Pete's SD stuff,
It really is daft to ignore all this guff.
    See it might seem geeky,
Or to some it seems sad,
But my interest in bond is not a mere fad.
    And there's many like me,
    Who feel the same,
We even have wives and girlfriends,
So we must be quite sane?
    Nah, actually, thinking...
    We're probably nuts,
But together we have knowledge you won't find in books.
What serial number was SC's fine tupee?
Well donk will know, cos he's a bit gay.
What kids toy was that made from,
    Which jeweller did those?
And who made that cello, the fake lady rose?
Well if these posters of ads,
    Who peddle their wares,
Stuck around for 2 minutes or actually cared,
They'd find out all their ponders,
    From the members within
Who try to be helpful, or create a big grin.
So it's your loss, mr ad man, now bugger off and go forth,
    Instead of posting the usual;
    "how much is this worth?"
