I am looking to sell the pen featured as a poison pen in the film Octopussy. This has been in my possession some 18 years and was given to me by the then Business Development Director of Dunhill, who in turn had been given it by Montblanc when Dunhill acquired Montblanc in the years before it came into my possession.
Jens Roesler, grandson of the founder of Montblanc and the pre-eminent authority on all Montblanc pens has examined it and confirmed it as authentic. Because of its lack of the famous star on the cap, it is a one-off, unique item.

I think the gold pens of the 1970's did not have the snowcap star as they would now.
ALL Montblanc pens have the snowcap design (since the 30s). Montblanc say that this is the pen in question. See still from film and compare. I would be very interested to see a close-up of the pen to refute what I've been told by the manufacturer of said pen!!!

Well, repeating your claim does not make it any better 8-) :
1. You are not allowed to post images which are from the EON 007 movies!
2. You can watch the movie (I did) and you can clearly see the pinstripe pattern. Yours is a Barley pattern, so - regardless what anybody said, it is NOT the pen like in the movie.
3. I will research a bit, if they used an engraved/embossed Snowcap logo or left it away with this particular line.
