What's for supper?

Well, being the unrepentant Anglophile that I am, I just finished preparing Lancashire Hotpot for supper. I'm using a slow cooker....and I'm making fresh wheat bread, with real butter.....it's chilly and rainy today and this willl be perfect.

The wife asked me this morning what I wanted for supper and I remembered having this dish in England a few times...so I'm trying my hand at it. I'm sure there are numerous variations.

Someday I'm going to attempt Yorkshire Pudding, however, I can never find a recipe that tells me how to mix the batter,,I guess it's just a given in England that everyone knows how to make Yorkshire Pudding.
