When Bond says "What makes you think this is my first time?", I read that as Bond using his training to manipulate Silva, possibly assuming that Silva likes men as well as women, which Bond could maybe use to his advantage. Of course, the other possibility is that it wasn't the first time Bond had been tied to a chair and interrogated, by either a man (Le Chiffre) or a woman (Helga Brandt, although to be fair she didn't do too much interrogating).
I posted about her in my Skyfall review and I still say she should show up in another Bond movie similar to the Andrea Anders / Octopussy character. I never had a problem with that.

When she was cast I thought she would play a minor role, simply based on her thin IMDB entry. Thank God I was wrong! She looks amazing and her acting performance, a mix of arrogance and suppressed terror, was surprisingly good. I think she is the second best Bond girl in Craig's tenure, only after Eva Green.

I think she was severely under-used in Skyfall. I thought her scene in the casino was one of the best scenes during Craig's tenure. Too bad he could make out the exact gun she was carrying but was not able to see that she was not wearing a backless dress.

I agree she is underused, but she certainly makes an impact in the little screen time she is given.
