Who plays squash?

I've been playing squash for 8 months now, first at some group courses, then with friends, alone and with private coaches. I just love the game! I think if you try it, you will love it! And it's pretty cheap, you don't need a lot of stuff (except access to the courts).

Who plays squash here?

I'd love to share and learn tips, DVDs, etc.

My favorite player is Jonathon Power. If you haven't checked his «Jonathon Power Exposed» DVD, you have to. The 10 minutes on deception is the most incredible thing I have seen.

    Quite honestly, squash is only a fruit to me.

    I had never even heard of it as a sport until you mentioned it. :))

    I played a bit of Handball many years ago, which is like squash only No Racquets.
    ( as I was told it helped hand to eye coordination, for Martial arts, and speed )
    Sadly I'm the shape of two players now :# so would probably Keel over holding
    my chest if I tried it. :))

    So its like a rad version of racquetball.

    I took this picture of a racquetball court once. That is as close to playing a sport as I ever got.

    Mr Beech, you'd like squash, the American courts are not big and lots of old, crumbling men play squash, it's not that hard and it's a fun game.

    Obviously if you're competitive you're going to have to be fit to be actually good.

    They are trying to get into the Olympics in 2020 (but at the same time, who isn't?)

    I played squash for a couple of years. It's a great game - far more explosive than tennis and badminton and I think one of the top physical games out there. It's hugely cardio vascular, yet builds leg and shoulder muscles at the same time. I only really stopped when the other two guys I played with moved on. I dislocated my shoulder against the wall once, and my friend cracked his skull. Actually, he dropped out because of that...

    I would've thought that will all of those real men here, more people would play squash! It's such an incredible game!

    No, needlepoint and Crochet are the BIG thing here, Only real men do that. :))

    Not to mention that there is a bunch of brits here, and squash is a big thing in Britain...
