Boris Greshenko's lighter

Here's one for the bond fan on a budget, Boris Greshenko's lighter.
It's pretty common knowledge that it's a zippo, but there's somethings to look out for.
First up, i think the finish is polished chrome, although as Boris lights his, it appears brushed or dull. It is actually my humble opinion that it's just well used and worn, but the choice is yours obviously. I chose the chrome as it was a good price and I like shiny shiny stuff.
Next up, the age. As goldeneye was made in 95, the lighter is getting on a bit now. Bear in mind though a subtle difference. Pay attention to the lid. Old zippos have a 'flat' top to them. The newer models, including most of zippo's vintage replica have a slight domed profile to them, which is inaccurate for the screen accurate followers amongst us. What you're after is this;
http://www.zippo.co.uk/main.php?mod=prod&idproduct=220&idproductcategory=1&nameComp=Vintage++w%2F+Slashes&area=&sub=product
Or if you wanna save a few quid;
http://www.windproof-lighters.co.uk/zippo-pure/vintage-slashes-high-polish-chrome-zippo-lighter.htm
The other detail would be the slashes, these are a part of the vintage design and only feature these days on the 'replica' range.
My advice is have a hunt around, car boot, ebay etc. get the flat top shape and you'll not be going far wrong.
Oh, and here's the lighter;
Cheers guys,
MG
Ps, if ive got any details wrong, please feel to add corrections and constructive thoughts -{

No probs BCW, I just thought it'd be a nice nugget of info worth sharing, especially as its a nice cheap item that most members can afford to get.
Enjoy the lighter, but don't play too much, those who play with lighters....
