How will fans be celebrating SKYFALL?

The past few years (2006, 2008) have seen me spend a Bond Day in the West End.
A few photo opportunities outside the ODEON Leicester Square, with poster in the background.
Earlyish screening of the movie with friends/family followed by long boozy lunch in Soho/Covent Garden with the customary Vesper Martinis etc etc. The meal steeped in Bondian chat and and views on the film.
How will others be spending the day in late October...and would any fans care to meet up?

Note that it is under
'A James Bond Marathon...'
So you don't have to scroll too far.
Ahem! There is one of those, but the more up to date one must be:
A James Bond Marathon to Celebrate 50 Years of 007'...
Which is higher up the list anyway.
Not sure they'd get permission to screen them anyway, but worth a try.

That's the one I was referring to. I just didn't feel like typing it all out at the time. ;%
As much as I love 007 marathons, I prefer to do them in the comfort of my own home in front of my widescreen.
Nap - here's hoping you and your camera will meet us in Leicester Square again as for QoS.
Any ideas yet?

review here on AJB. so on the day itself I'll be looking at my choice of Bonds on this new
Blu-ray format the young people seem so fond off. )
Hi SW, yes I'd be up for that. But do you really want to see it there anyway? You have Imax, or the largest screen in London otherwise, at the Greenwich 02. That said, Leicester Square is more iconic, as has had a rather wonderful revamp of late, as you probably know.
I won't be seeing the film with you, as you are of a sunny outlook regarding Craig's Bond, and I don't want to rain on your parade... I'll see it another time, prob at Imax.
BTW I sent you an email, not sure if you got it.

I have been thinking about this myself a little, and well I can't meet up as so far the budget doesn't stretch to spontaneous 12,000 mile flights.
BUT I will certainly be celebrating the fact that this is the first Bond movie to be filmed in IMAX, by watching it at the "World's Biggest Screen" at LG IMAX in Darling Harbour in Sydney.
Followed by a Vesper or six I imagine -{
Looking forward to it very much.

I know you sent me one that told me you hadn't really planned your SKYFALL experience yet as it is too far away. Mine is all organised for the Saturday, so hope to see you for pics outside the ODEON.
I don't really like the IMAX at Warterloo, and the O2 is too far away. As I live close to Central London the iconic surroundings of Leicester Square will be perfect for my SKYFALL DAY.
BTW the Imax at Waterloo won't be like that Goldfinger viewing, in case you were wondering, because the screen shape is different. GF was like being close up to a large standard TV set. It was better with OHMSS - just a very large, nice big screen.

Remember this is for the Saturday, the day after the Friday night launch.
Great picture opportunities in Leicester Square.
