Lots of satirical Bond cartoons in the papers these days. One has the Syrian president as Blofeld with cat and tunic outfit, saying: 'Ah, Mister World Leader, I've been expecting you... But as you haven't shown up, I'll continue carpet bombing my own people.'
Another has the left side of the cartoon with a Craig and gun celebrating 50 glorious years of British Bond, the right hand side seems to suggest colonial atrocities in Kenya, with the tagline, 'It was 50 years ago, why not forget about it....'
There is a Bond special in the latest edition of Time Out London Magazine. It features an interview with Daniel Craig, on set visit in Istanbul, and ways to live the 007 life in London.
Those of you who are Aston Martin spotters will of course realise that the window-line of the car in the Vanity Fair photo is
an Aston Martin DB6 the follow on to the DB5 that has been in several Bond films.
Either the photo is mocked-up or Craig is sat in whatever car they could get hold of!
Anyway, it's not the exact model in Skyfall, unless they've changed to a DB6-haven't seen the film yet!
Daniel Craig is on the cover of this weeks Radio Times magazine. Featured inside is Barry Norman's interview with Barbara Broccoli, and Top Gear's Richard Hammond gives his verdict on the best ever Bond cars.
I have never known so much buzz about a Bond film, not in living memory anyhow and I'm 42.
I've been thinking the same thing. The 50th anniversary ia obviously a big deal which is helping with the general interest in Skyfall, but Skyfall itself is doing very well even amongst people I know who have little general interest in Bond. I would say already that this is the movie event of the year so far. I know there's a lot of expectation in the U.S. over Spielberg's Lincoln and I'm pretty sure that Twilight will do very well, but the hype for Skyfall - both manufactured and legitimate - is massive.
There is a Bond Special in the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter Magazine. An interesting article on MGM's collapse and the subsequent build up to Skyfall that begins with Daniel Craig inviting Sam Mendes to become the director while both attended mutual friend Hugh Jackman's Birthday party in New York.

Don't ya just love it that the Numb Nut who prepared the cover spread clearly does not know who portrayed 007 "on screen" first
