If Aston Martin isn't careful they are going to seriously damage their lineup. The Virage is being discontinued. Which is a good thing as they never should have made it anyway. But from spy shots the new/replacement DB9 looks just like the out going Virage! Some are even saying that Aston Martin wanted/wants to adopt a V name platform for all their cars. The Vantage, Virage, and Vanquish. I don't know where the Rapide fits in there.
Depends on where you live and what for. I am in the American midwest and have a BMW Z4 for fun and a Honda Ridgeline AWD for the snowy months and yard work and the like. I would not drive the BMW on anything but dry conditions, as it's RWD and not good on slippery conditions.
But it's all about what you want to do with a vehicle. RWD has less weight on the back tires, but you can always put something in the trunk to weight it down, add better all-weather tires, or even put chains on them, if the law allows.
