It's annoying when you go to a grocery to buy something expired half off then they tell you they're not allowed to sell it (why in the hell then did I buy 9 bottles juice at same grocery store and nobody said a word , make up your mind.....is it or is it not allowed to sell expired items ??)
Expired food can be freezed and eaten several months after expiration date , I ate bread in may/june that had expired in october , it was still etable.
I met a young man some months ago. He and his brother built a simplecabin on a beach north of the Artic circle somewhere and lived there for a year - to surf! Now an again they visited a local shop to get supplies. But other than a little bit of spice they never paid for any Food. They just asked for food past its expiery date and got it for free. He claimed most food items tastes fine well after that date and beef actually tastes better the expiery date.

Local charities but then health & Safety, stepped in and
Put an end to that. So now it gets dumped.
With food I just use my nose, if it smells OK to me, then

again it's been sold off cheap, I guess to his mates, again

or low paid workers that have to take the cuts to make the books add up, yet

TP, you are right in many respects -{ and I'm no fan of politicians of any colour... but in respects of the £1bn loss, in my opinion it's a bit like this:
Barbel has a whip-round with Sir Miles, AOS and BlackLeiter and buys an Aston Martin for £100k.
However he doesn't look after it properly and for one reason or another it starts to lose money.
Fearful that Sir. Miles, AOS and BL will give him a right b0ll0cking, he raids the public purse and buys in for £200k.
After a couple of years the public needs the money back so. Barbel looks round for a buyer - but no-one wants it except for Mantis who will only give him £150k for it.
Oh no, says everyone, you've lost us £50k! So what can he do?
What are they keeping? It looks like everything which was so iconic about the original, from the yellow badges to the pen communicators to the UNCLE gun, is missing (from the trailer I've seen at any rate...)

her house.
Her punishment, a two year suspended sentence, and banned from keeping
a dog for five years. 8-)
I would have Jailed her for two years and banned her for life from keeping
