Sadly, with the headline 'Jihaddit coming' and the bloke himself brandishing a knife, it does rather seem like he is taunting us from beyond the grave, presumably not what the sub editors had in mind.
I didn't want to open a thread about it. But all my thoughts go out to everyone affected by the heinous acts in Paris last night.

I think they must have published too early for the full news of the Paris attacks - "20 dead" mentioned in the corner and the actual story is tucked away quite far into the newspaper.

The French people and nation have my deepest sympathy. France is one of the UK's oldest allies and we here see this as an attack on us and our shared values as well. This terrorist detritus will not win, no matter how many they kill. We need to regroup as the West together and remove this terrorist blot on the landscape with renewed vigor and resolve.
The reasons for these brutal and cowardly attacks on Paris?
It's the hatred of the Western world and its liberal democracy values. This terrorist detritus cannot be reasoned with; they want nothing less than the complete destruction of Western civilisation. They will therefore never be satisfied and cannot rationally be reasoned with. Their reading of Islam is false as they have been radicalised by hate preachers and other extremists. Ordinary peace-loving Muslims are not the problem here. It is the false doctrine of the extremists that guides their actions, not a true reading of Islam or the Koran.

While people all over the world grieve the Paris terrorist attacks, very few seeme to have noticed the ISIS bombings in Lebanon on Thursday. This small war-torn country that's taken far more than their share of refugees was hit by terrorist violence again.
Let's remember that the overwhelming majority of ISIS' victims are muslims in the Middle East.
I've had heard an interesting argument re. ISIS and Syria.
If we are taking the position from a Syrian citizen, WE in Europe do export terror and terrorists to THEM. So far over 15.000 Europeans joined ISIS - mostly to terrorize the citizens of Syria.
So the fear, that terrorists may be "imported" thru the masses of refugees recently probably puts that into a perspective.
Besides that ISIS has the financial ressources and knowledge to put their people to Europe thru all modes of transportation - which doen't mean that we should all be getting better checking people who come into our countries.
