    For anyone like ME who is sick of my country's Tea Party's idiots keeping a simple clandestine mess-up in the news for purely political reasons:

    And then to top it off...after searching for an adapter, it doesn't allow me to use my current stereo as the adapter will make the nano too wide.

    Believe adapters available to convert or is it still a problem?

    To be fair to Apple the old adapter was clunky and a pain in the neck connecting in the dark. They must have been used for over 10 years so it's not like too much change in short space of time

    I wouldn't mind if the nano connector was in middle of device, that way the adaptor would work perfectly!

    However, the nano connector is off centre, making the central male connector too wide for my recessed docking station.

    The only solution is a cable connector, but my nano would sit 'outside' its doc, and I wouldn't be able to see the menu, unless standing over it.

    Thoughtless design in my opinion.

    Probably to stop unlicensed 3 party devices - think I read Apple were trying to prevent / crack down on them!! Lets face it if Apple doesn't make it they font give a stuff!!

    Blu-tooth is the way forward lol!
