I know this may sound a little strange, but does anyone have any info on the coat hanger used to hang Bonds dinner jacket in Casino Royale ? I think as coat hangers go, its cool.
Not an expert on coathangers really but I'm sure that it's a specifically designed one to use with a suit carrier / travel luggage type of suit holder - and in the preceding bedroom bit of that scene, Bond spots a suitbag on the bed.
Excellently strange question, however. Not sure of the maker, however.
Bond: "I have a dinner jacket!"
Vesper Lynd: "There are dinner jackets ... and dinner jackets. This is the latter ... and I need you looking like a man who belongs at that table."
Bond: "How ... ? It's tailored ...!"
Vesper Lynd: "I sized you up the moment we met."
Bond: "Well, OK - nice hangers, though!" )
This post is so cool.
I remember thinking "cool hangar" the very first time I watched CR!
Thought it was so geeky though to mention!
Nice to know I am not the only one!!
Could be this one by Winn International, the hanger looks right ... although in the film the inside lining of the suitbag is a rather fancy material with red logo / embroidery, too indistinct to make it out, though.
Cheers,

PS Bond didn't really say 'nice hangers' to Vesper, but it would have been so funny if he had done at that point.
That Winn International hanger looks right. But even while travelling I'd never want to hang a tailored jacket on a hanger like that, which really isn't good for anything more than a shirt, and trousers if the hanger is covered in felt (hard to tell). A tailored jacket should always be hung on a more substantial, contoured hanger that can adequately support the jacket's shoulders. Vesper might have good taste in dinner jackets, but she has no idea how to properly care for one.

Completely agree, its not at all practical, but it does look cool, and therefore I want one.

The bag says Brioni. Could the hanger be whatever brand they normally use with their clothing? Do they have their own branded hangers like Tom Ford does?

I've seen Brioni hangers and they are proper suit hangers—more substantial and contoured. Hanging a suit on the type of hanger from the movie is very poor way to care for your suit. The hanger may look cool, but the dinner jacket hanging on it doesn't look so good. It should look almost as good on the hanger as it does on you. It's only adequate for a shirt or casual jacket. I can't stress enough the importance of a proper hanger in taking care of your tailored clothes. At least Bond wasn't the one who put the dinner jacket on that hanger.

Freakin' Vesper and her nonchalant clothes-hanging!

Trouble is, Bond here is portayed as such a knuckehead (however much to the contrary the evidence) that he'd probably be expected to carry his own suit on a WIRE coat hanger!!!!!!!!!! 8-) )

Thanks, Mr Beech, that'll be right as a Brioni suit bag ... as I read somewhere that Bond's dinner jacket is by ... Brioni !
I checked that out, a leather Brioni suit carrier retails at ... wait for it ... £2,600 - but currently on offer at a reduced price of only £1999.95 http://www.bvmenswear.co.uk/bags-and-luggage-c21/brioni-black-leather-suit-carrier-p153
Fascinating, there's even an 007 suit website ... http://thesuitsofjamesbond.com
