James Bond Misprint on Box

I recently purchased a James Bond 007 collection. As I was reading the titles I noticed one was misspelled. Does that make this set more valuable?

    if its the only set with the error then yea i suppose it makes it
    unique and rare... but there may be lots with the error... in a
    few cases in collectables.. error versions have become more
    valuable over time... Couldn't say for sure to be honest

    That looks like one of the fake sets from China that were floating around on ebay a while back and that will also explain the incorrect spelling.

    After looking it over I found some other typos. 4 altogether. You will see I underlined them. I'm just trying to get a market value for the set...

    To a 007 collector it's not worth anything as it is a fake, sorry.

    I'm sorry to say it, but I'd certainly concur with the views above that this is indeed fake.

    Even if it was real ( it is NOT) i doubt that anyone will pay a single extra buck for it.
    If we talk about printing errors in 1st ed books- maybe but not on DVD cases.

    You say that you are trying to find a market value for it.

    You have been told that it's a fake, so if you go on with that, I'd say that you are trying to Find a buyer for a fake item here. Not nice!

    I don't appreciate the innuendo that I'm a deceitful person in your comment. When all I'm trying to do is find out the value of an item, nothing more, nothing less.

    Well your first post left me unsuspicious.

    But coming back after several people already told you, that it's a fake - is a different thing.
    That brings me to the conclusion, that you are trying to take someone here for a ride.
    Won't happen.

    I really could care less what you think. Not everyone is out to screw people apparently like you. You're a negative paranoid person. Since you took us to this place, GFY Bondtoys.

    Hi...trying to get this back on track now...

    The worth of this set ? It's valueless....it's a fake and there will be thousands exactly like this, I'm sorry to say...and AJB does not support the selling of fake items...

    I would suggest you go out and buy a genuine set...the quality will be heaps better -{

    Hey there,

    First up, welcome to the forum! :)) although I suspect you'll not be here long, which is kind of a shame, but hey, ya just here for some advice.

    Reading through the posts here, it comes across to me as you're someone just wanting some advice on a product you've bought, I can't see you saying you intend to sell this on to anyone here, or at all, so I don't believe you're trying to scam anyone.

    Some here hate replica/fake/counterfeit items (as I'm sure you do now) and things can get a little heated on these matters. Sorry you've had to be the recipient of it.

    Like everyone has said, you're item is a fake, it's worth naff all. I think when people started saying this you should have listened. Also, telling 2 established members to 'GFY' isn't going to win any hearts and minds. Not saying they're untouchable, but think of a forum as a local pub, where regulars are known and respected and newcomers welcomed, but as you're not known to us, some may be a little wary. We can get many newcomers here who are one post wonders, and a lot who join to flog stuff only to disappear straight after. Try and see things from both sides of the fence.

    Arguements aside, and additionally to all this, there's a golden nugget of advice when it comes to selling stuff;

    It's worth however much someone wants to pay.

    I've seen stuff like SD golden guns go for a mentally low price, and also seen simple things go for amazingly high rates, especially on ebay. I think a lot of it happens to depend on who's online at the time/who's seen it.

    Sorry to see you've been caught out with a fake item, I hope you didn't pay a high price for it. If you bought it from a shop, I'd take it back and demand a refund.

    Hope this helps,

    Just to translate for my learned friend, I think Pete's graphical representation refers to the term "Way Anchor", a classic english term used by sea fairing folk when they departed from dock; I believe he was indicating that we were departing from the topic in hand and in no way questioning the use/abuse of our new members recreational time.

    :D thanks dailo for making it clear.
    I learn here something every day - particularly with my less-than-average language skills.

    In my ignorance, I was assuming that Pete was calling him a w@nker - but now it makes perfectly sense :D
