Hmm, LTK and AVTAK did the worst...

    Interesting stuff.

I suppose what Connery and Craig have in common is the adult market, a time when older folk will go and see a Bond film, it's not just a family thing.

Obviously, Don't use "KILL" in the title. :D

And the 60's Bonds had huge audiences, which I doubt we'll see again given that
a night at the Cinema is not the Cheap night out it used to Be.

Yeah, telly and home cinema wasn't up to much, plus you couldn't wait a few months and get it on DVD.

There's no doubting that Sean Connery's films had the golden touch at the box office. However, I doubt some of the figures in that article. For example, Diamonds Are Forever made nearer twice as much money on release as On Her Majesty's Secret Service, yet adjusted for inflation it makes less. How can that be? I'd be more interested to know about ticket sales.

Dalton's earnings are interestingly low. I remember thinking after watching Die Hard that the makers of Bond had better pull out the stops. A whole new type of action film took over through the mid eighties to mid nineties, and Dalton's tenure was up against some great box office hits.
