007 Animated Series

Seeing how most fans have a strong dislike for the James Bond Jr cartoon from the early 90's or late 80's, How do you guys think a 007 Cartoon would work providing it were done right?

I could imagine it in the same vein as Batman The Animated Series with a dark look to it and a variety of rouges he could face in each episode. Doctor No,Goldfinger and Blofeld could be the ones that would be the focus in most of the episodes like how the Joker was in the Batman cartoon.

    I'm intrigued by the idea.

    I've suggested the same sort of thing, an adult animated series of the original Books, showing
    the villians as Fleming described them. -{
    So I'd be all for it. :007)

    Batman The Animated Series was terrific. I remember coming home from work and watching it regularly around the time it was originally released. What a great way to unwind. If a Bond series were made in a similar vein then I would certainly be interested in watching it.

    I think it's a great idea, I loved the noirish Batman. Would like to see it in period as well. Now who to voice our chap?

    If it ever comes about, which I know it won't unfortunately, I would like it set in the '60's or like batman have a timeless stylized look.

    I also think an animated 007 show should have a Bond that does NOT resemble any of the actors that have played him in the films. Kind of like how they did with the video game Everything or Nothing where they created an original look for Bond when they temporarily lost the rights to use Brosnan's image.

    I'm currently re reading the Comic book versions of the novels (highly recommended, but not sure if they appeared outside of the UK) I would like him to look something like that. He is depicted differently to any of the actors who have played him, but still recognisable in the classic mould. The best description I can think of is like a Connery/dalton hybrid.

    A period film noire approach a bit like the animated batman would work quite nicely. - Reintroducing classic Fleming to a new audience! I would add Rosa Klebb to the baddie list. As for voices I volunteer to audition. - No really.
    This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
