Lord was great, shame he didn't make the return for TB at least, with an expanded role it could have lightened the movie a bit, as it gets bogged down in the latter half. That said, Connery's Bond was a different bloke in that film to how he was in Dr No.
Watching the BBC's Olympic coverage, US sprinter Michael Johnson, who is a talking head on the sofa, has a great persona, a terrific speaking voice.
He could be a great Leiter prob too tall for the Craig years but I wonder if he's been snapped up by the movies? (goes off to imdv)

Interesting question. In the books he always assumes a Rik Van Nutter-like composite to me, since he seems most physically like the literary Leiter.
