Could Leiter of made a spin off series

There was talk that eon where working on a spin off movie for Jinx after DAD.
Although I would of thought the best Character to get a spin off would of been
good old Felix.
He is after all a top CIA agent, so is bound to of had adventures without Bond.
There is always a market for good action movies and I think eon could, mabey still
can make a couple of action/thrillers with J Wright saving America from all threats
both foreign and Domestic.
After all you now have Ironman staring in his own movies then guesting in others.
So F Leiter could still pop up in the odd Bond story to help out, while still carrying on
his own advetures.
I'm not talking about a series to run along side Bond, rather a couple of good
action films to help put a bit of meat on the bones of the character and Make Eon
some cash.

Do they look like they need the money?
When I first heard of the Jinx spin off I just cringed. It's not because of the character (although she was crap) but I just don't like spin offs. I prefer originality in film making and can't stand 'add on' ideas, like catwoman, superwoman, Dorian grey. Ok Dorian grey was alright.
It just seems to me as a cheap lazy way of film making. Sequals, prequals and trilogies is where I draw the line, taking a character out of one film and standing them alone in another just wouldn't work. Plus I think there'd be a sense of disappointment in it, with Felix Leiter I think maybe people will be hoping to get a glimpse of bond, and be sorely miffed when he does get a mention.

No reason why he could not turn up in a scene or two, might be interesting. but generally I agree about spin-offs although Frasier is the famous case of a spin off that possibly eclipsed the original...

So, felix leiter spin off wont work, but what about a mini-series on judi Dench's M, (if she doesn't die as some people think will happen) that could work... Craig could have cameo's in it and mentioned but it would be focused on her role leading off men to die...

well made action movies,Sure eon don't need the money But I'm sure they'd
like some more.
Could there be a Black Bond is a question thats been asked many times. With
a Leiter spin off we could finally get one.
Bourne,Mission Impossible, Bond, 24, chuck, Burn notice etc There is IMHO
a market for espionage Movies and series.
Still it's only an idea for the forum to kick around, not my attempt to get a job
at eons marketing dept
