James Scott. A contender for the next James Bond?

As you ever seen James Scott who plays "E.J." on the NBC serial Days Of Our Lives. He has only renewed his contract for one more year as of 2012. He was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. As of 2012, he is the age of 33.
What do you think of him as a possible "James Bond"?

    I don't know anything about the guy (I know it's shocking, but I don't watch soap operas!) Is there anything he has ever done on screen to suggest he would be a good Bond? I'm not saying it's the case here, but sometimes it seems that some people feel any dark-haired, good-looking caucasian male aged 25-45 is a suitable candidate for the next Bond. Isn't there more to it than that???

    I was joking, sorry. I have never heard of this guy and I don't think looks are the most important thing for a Bond actor but I do do believe anyone who looks the part could be a good Bond if he can act bit. Lazenby wasn't the greatest actor but I think he was a very believable Bond. So maybe James Scott would make a fine Bond but to me it depends more on the movie than on the actor. Connery was a fantastic Bond but DAF was awful. And while I'm not the biggest fan of Daniel Craig as Bond Casino Royale is one of my favorite 007 pictures.

    I think James Scott has the right age, height (6'4'' - very good) and look for Bond. But his background is mostly from daytime soaps - not very promising. Most of the other Bond actors had experience from feature movies when they signed on, and preferably some movies with them palying the lead. Lazenby did all well with no acting under his belt, but James Scott does not look impressive on IMDB.

    Sorry, but I don't see it. He comes across as a petulant yuppie to me. Perhaps with a bit more age and seasoning, but right now he doesn't strike me as Bond material.

    When I looked at that photo in the first reply, I thought "no, definitely not", but after having seen that little clip ... I guess I'm warming up to him. That said, he doesn't seem to be able to do the "dangerous" face very well, nor has he really been in any fight scenes - unlike Henry Cavill, who can do both extremely well.

    Also, 6'4" is too tall. Fleming's Bond was just 6'. Connery is 6'2", as is Lazenby and Dalton, while Moore and Brosnan is 6'1".

    I would still prefer to see Cavill as the next Bond.
