Yes, they'e obviously going for a Doctor Lector vibe.
Lector is exactly what I thought too when I saw him in the cage / prison
Looks like we get to see Bernice in the shower
Well I don't think the plot is too hard to figure out to some point due to the trailer reveal (though we knew it anyhow), we know the train is PTS, we know what happens to Bond on the train and we know M thinks he's brown bread. Im assuming when the 00 Agents get knocked off Bardem assumes 007 is already dead and then he comes back to fix thing
Nice to see the gadget shown in the trailer is nothing too outrageous (so far anyhow) and fits in with Craigs Bond.
Well, I wonder if Silva has the "knock-list" but doesn't do anything with it.... (there's a sophisticated twist there for you), Bond come back from the dead, M sends him after Silva, captures him and has him Lectorized, Silva - natch - escapes then reeps revenge by killing the MI6 knock-list lads, smashing up London... JB and M escape to Scotland and, in a scene that reminds me of the end of PATRIOT GAMES, it kicks of big time at SKYFALL, M ending tats up, and Mr S too, of course?
Well it seemed like forever that we would be waiting for Skyfall but the months are flying by now

Now my grip. Not happy with Javier Bardem wearing a blond wig. It would have been great for him to have his natural dark hair and look so sexy and suave, but yet evil.
I think they were trying to make him look like "Zorin" played by Christopher Walken in A View To A Kill (1985).
Hmm maybe they were trying to get away from Bardems No Country For Old Men kinda thing
That was mighty impressive! Seems to be a nice mixture of Craig's Bond with a few nods to the styles of his predecessors (the cuff-straightening, the banter with Q, the Walther PPK, a couple of understated quips, etc.). I guess the folks at EON wised up, hired TP as a consultant, and finally got it right! -{

These trailers do indicate that SKYFALL will be a rollicking good ride. Thanks to those who've provided the links. When I used to look at the footage of what was being filmed all I could think was that this was going to be a strange film of Bond running around London, stopping off for a breather in Scotland at the old homestead. How on earth could this be spun out for two hours!? Just goes to show what film-makers can pack in over the months of filming. Javier Bardem looks okay to me with a look of Anthony Quinn about him. I hope it delivers all it promises. There are going to be some mightily frustrated postings from members if not. )
The trailer is great. They're still going for a Bond plot that is more realistic (as in a Fleming novel) and not some sci-fi garbage. The stunts look amazing, Craig looks fit as ever (though I dislike the short hair I'm sure the acting and the story involvement will get me past that). Still wonder if this is Dench's last one...even though it seems she survives the plot, it's hard to tell. She may even decide to step down as M in this one due to her losing that hard drive and the secret files (or is ordered to). Perhaps Fiennes is stepping in as the new M. We'll see. Bond comes back and meets M in her new home. I was hoping they were going to show Bond's flat, but it's obvious from the preview they are showing M's again, and it must be a new place, since it is very traditional in decor as opposed to the very modern high rise flat she had in CR. Still, should be a solid film. Here's hoping the title credits and theme song will also be as good.

well I love the trailers -really whetted my appetite -and Bardem's blond hair -doesn't bother me - if anything the combination of his eyes and hair make him look creepy and evil -which is what you want from a a dastardly villain. I think this is definitely going to be the best 007 movie in a long time. -{
Keep it in gear, HB, keep it in gear. . .must not get too excited. . .yes, it looks great--no fantastic--no INCREDIBLE. . .but remember it's just a trailer. . .how many times have you seen a movie only to realize all the great stuff went into the trailer and everything else in the movie was crappola. . .must--keep--enthusiasm--in--check. . . . . .

Let yourself go...we can all manage our disappointment together should we need to, but for now I feel really optimistic. It's not just the trailer, but the cast and the approach, and all that we have learned/ pieced together that makes me feel full of hope.
Javier Bardem's blonde hair is an unnecessary distraction, otherwise terrific. The visuals continue to impress with each successive trailer. If nothing else, Skyfall is shaping up to be a great looking Bond film.

I’m sorry, I just can’t share the premature enthusiasm for the film everyone is displaying here. I can imagine the same level of enthusiasm when you all saw the trailer for QoS. )
The trailer looks just like any other for any run-of-the-mill contemporary action thriller. And the synthesised music used in it is awful. I hope that’s not the actual soundtrack.
It looks like it could be the sort of film that only someone who hadn’t seen other Bond films would say was good.

Could this be a vairation on TMWTGG, as In some dialogue we're told
Bond has been sent out not prepared or ready to take on the Villain.
Mabey a nod to the Novel.
I was thinking that a couple of days ago when I realised that it was Bond that Eve shoots....maybe it's more than 'just a nod' to the novel of TMWTGG ?
I do hope so...

I do so too. Really am looking forward to this one. Cinematically its looking ace.

Yep, this sure looks amazing. Reserving full enthusiasm until I've seen the entire film though - but as far as trailers go, it has got me the most excited for a new bond film in a long time. And I agree with the person who said that the villain seems like he will be one of the most memorable villains in years. The young Q I was dubious about at first, but the more I think about it, the more intriguing it seems.
One thing - the whole bond being 'dead' - you only live twice de ja vu? Or something completely different?
Javier Bardem's blonde hair is an unnecessary distraction, otherwise terrific.
Actually I was thinking that no one does more to make a hairstyle look creepy than does Bardem. And maybe the He-Man look is entirely in keeping with the Silva character. Guess we'll find out. . .

I just feel that Javier Bardem can do creepy and nasty without the blonde hair. It creates an unnecessary distraction. You end up thinking/talking more about the hair and less about the character. In all fairness, if the internet and AJB were around in 1985 I would likely have said the same thing about Christopher Walken after watching the official trailer of A View To A Kill, but his blonde hair has never distracted me while watching the film. Come Skyfall, I may indeed feel the same way about Bardem.

Hmmmmmmmm, one line of that trailer stood out to me. It's Silva saying "Two survivors" to Bond. Two survivors of what? Could Silva possibly be a Rogue MI6 agent? Maybe he faked his own death in the explosion of MI6?
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

I'm no fan text speak, but I have to in this case - OMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFG!
This looks like it will be amazing.
I may be wrong, but if the train sequence is part of the PTS, then maybe Bonds 'dead' body underwater to lead into the title sequence?
Just noticed something in the trailer. When Bond tears the train car apart with the bulldozer and jumps in and adjusts his cuffs, you can see a bloodstain on his upper right side chest. When he falls into the water you can see a bloodstain on his upper right chest. Maybe Bonds "death" ends the PTS. Then it picks up right after with him on the train and adjusting his cuffs.

For me, it's not that long ago.
The movie was called Quantum of Solace
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
