Anybody here fond of the series? I'm currently on my first book and would love to discuss it with anyone else that may be a fan...
It's a great book and i'm thoroughly hooked...it's made me a huge fan of all things sailing, man-of-wars, royal navy, sail era, etc...
...interestingly Bond is a Commander of the Royal Navy, if im not mistaken...

I have got waylaid with both Sharpe and Flashman, because the authors don't write them chronologically, so I'm always thinking, well, should I read them in the order they come out, or the date order?

Zig Zag, you've got 10 of them but are yet to read them??
No doubt the beginning of Master and Commander left a big blue 'bruise' on my brain but once i got past it its been one of the most fascinating stories. I read somewhere that these stories were character driven, not so much story driven and this adds to the joy of reading it since you are not in any hurry to finish the book, you can take your time with it.
Lucky Jack sure would be a heck of a captain in real life.
