Maybe Moore and Craig aren't that different after all...

I was watching TSWLM the other day and this scene:

seemed very similar to this:

While I'm sure it's been brought up before, I thought it was worth mentioning!

Another one of those in-joke moments the Bonds like to toss in once in a while to please us fans who know their films inside out. The use of the name Robert Sterling's the same sly wink. I rather like it.
An interesting point: Though Craig's harder, the rooftop scene always seems a bit more ruthless coming from Moore because it's so uncharacteristic of his overall portrayal.

Another reference to The Spy Who Loved Me is Bond and Camille walking through the desert which echo's Bond and Anya Amasova (Triple X). Quantum of Solace featured a surprising number of references to previous films and Skyfall may feature even more judging by what I have seen to date.

I do wish they'd stop all the nostalgia and the Looking Back.
Start looking forward and coming up with some New Ideas.

Perhaps there's nothing fresh to do. It's all about taking the old & tarting it up as new. We are in an age of recycling after all. I've been pedalling the same jokes for years. :))

Well there is the Old expression that there are only
seven story ideas, ( can't remember the correct number ) :D
and every Book/Movie uses elements from these to
come up with new stories. :))

I too am a keeper of Old Jokes. :007) It's a fine tradition.

BIG difference - Craig looks convincing in the fight scenes. Moore does not. That is all. :D

Then Old Roger was always more a Lover than a Fighter. :D

Yeah, Moore does seem to start on that awkward kung fu kick thing, he could kick over Bambi, but that's about it. It's really only in this film and Moonraker, when he is taking out the guards by the monorail in the final third. It does look pretty hopeless, though (crush starts up) Jade Jones can make it work! :x ;%
