Triple X = Bond Rip-off?

For those of you who seen the Vin Diesil movie "xXx", did anyone else think that this film was a blantant rip off of 007? Now that i look back on the movie thats pretty much what it was.

Samuel L Jackson's character was obviously M, Xanger Cage is 007, and they even had a lame annoying version of Q. The main villian of xXx is very Blofeld like in many ways as well.

Simply Bond for a younger generation. I thought it was a fun film
Pitty XXX2 wasn't as good.

well I am very Young, BL. Made the mistake of thinking it was a XXXX

and funny how the weakest XXX movie was also directed
by Lee Tamahori who did such a good job on DAD

Yep! It was all downhill for Tamahori after "Once Were Warriors".
