Extracts from Roger Moore's new book Bond on Bond have appeared at the Mail Online. The extracts feature love scenes, gadgets, Blofeld's cat relieving itself on it's master, and sex mad Herve Villechaize (Nick Nack). Also, Roger praises Daniel Craig.

    Very intresting article!

Although now Roger all of the sudden claims there was a double in the bed with Grace Jones :)) - Usually he claims that bedding Grace Jones was the biggest stunt in his 7 outings as Bond :P

Based on the excerpts provided in the link in the first post, I don't why anyone would waste money buying a book that is nothing more than a pathetic has-been actor's on things that he obviously learned second hand. His constant referring to the character as "Jim" is annoying. Moore is just putting his name to this book to suck the money from weak minded fools who will buy anything connected to James Bond. The man is an ass.

Pretty harsh and a bit over-the-top, don't you think?

    ...and wrong in many ways!

I am sure that a bigger slice of his salary will go to UNICEF, and organization, that he supports heavily!

And I for my part find his memories very entertaining, it's a joy everytime that I read something from him - albeit some of the stories are well-known.

Old Roger seems to stir up strong emotions, or is it a case of

"The lady doth protest too much " :))

Still, he's also been accused of being Dead by one AJB'er

Blackleiter, I've always suspected you were a secret Roger Moore Bond admirer, now the truth is out. :))

It's clear that there is a sizeable element who really dislike Roger's portrayal of James Bond, I wish that were not the case but that is the truth. It won't change my opinion one bit. Roger was a class act as Bond and remains a great ambassador for the series.

Okay, you busted me! :)) Seriously, though, although I am not a fan of Roger Moore's Bond, that's more the fault of the producers. They changed the direction of the Bond films (probably starting with DAF), and Old Roger was only giving them what they wanted. More importantly, from everything I have seen and read about Moore's offscreen activities, he appears to be a pretty affable, easy-going chap and thoroughly professional about his work. And unless RJJB has some personal knowledge about Moore that we aren't privy to, I think he deserves more respect than to be referred to as a "pathetic has-been" and "an ass".

I am no fan of Roger as Bond, and don't even recognise the character in his performances. However personal insults of that nature are not fair. Criticise the performance ( and I do ) but leave the man alone. He seems like a perfectly decent chap to me.
