This thread is designed for the mods and members of AJB to tell the story of how AJB started by this returning member (last posted here in October 2010). I'm very curious about how the AJB forums came into being, about the untold story of its creation. I'm very proud to be a member here and very glad to be back!

I myself originally became a member in 2002 and rejoined earlier this year after a long absence. Overall, in my time here it has been a very pleasurable experience.
There is one pivotal moment in the history of AJB that is not directly mentioned in the other topic, and it happened before I originally became a member. I understand AJB was almost shut down by Eon because someone posted parts of Die Another Day's script, only the forums survived. Perhaps someone who was around at the time will tell the story?

SiCo mentioning his GCSEs meant I was struck with the thought that I first found AJB in my first year of secondary school. I remember spending whole lunchtimes in the computer room because at home we had dial up and I was always getting cut off when my mom answered the phone. I'm now part way through university and have sometimes been accessing the site from my phone.
